Refund and Credit Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-25. UniPrep operates a private pilot; this policy is intentionally conservative and will be replaced with a final legal agreement before public launch.

    1. Free Academic Assessment

    The academic assessment is provided at no charge. It includes a 15-minute advisor call, a 45-minute proctored diagnostic in your child's actual course, and a written readiness report. You keep the report whether or not you continue with a UniPrep package.

    Package purchases are prepaid

    UniPrep tutoring packages are sold as prepaid bundles of sessions, materials, and academic support. Payment for a package is collected before tutoring begins. Pricing, session count, and expiry windows are shown at checkout and confirmed by email.

    Cooling-off period before tutoring starts

    If you have not used any sessions from your package and tutoring has not yet started, you may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase by emailing support. Refunds are processed to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

    Unused sessions after tutoring has started

    Once tutoring has started, unused sessions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Depending on the situation we may issue an account credit toward future tutoring, reschedule remaining sessions, or — in exceptional circumstances such as a family emergency or sustained tutor-fit issues we couldn't resolve — issue a partial refund for unused sessions. Credits do not expire faster than the original package window unless explicitly agreed in writing.

    Missed sessions, cancellations, and rescheduling

    Sessions can be rescheduled with reasonable notice through your academic manager. Late cancellations and no-shows may count as a used session. Specific late-cancellation rules are explained at checkout and in your purchase confirmation email so there are no surprises.

    Tutor changes and assignment adjustments

    If your first assigned tutor is not the right fit, your academic manager will review the assignment and recommend another certified tutor where available — usually within 48 hours, at no extra cost. Tutor changes are not, on their own, grounds for a refund: they are part of how UniPrep supports the package.

    Pilot-stage limitations

    UniPrep currently operates as a private pilot. Service availability, supported territories for in-person tutoring, package terms, and policy details may change as we exit pilot. Any change to this policy that affects an existing package will be communicated to affected families and will not be applied retroactively in a way that reduces the value of a package already purchased.

    How to request a refund or credit

    To request a refund, credit, or any policy clarification, contact our team through the contact page or reply to your purchase confirmation email. Please include the parent name, student name, and package. We aim to respond within 2 business days and resolve most requests within 5 business days.
